Tom Sullivan has exited Hope Media Group (WayFM/Huntsville) after 11+ years with the organization. Prior to relocating to Huntsville 2 years ago, Tom was station manager at WAYJ/Ft Myers. Tom’s Christian Radio experience incudes KTLF/Colorado Springs, and American Family Radio (AFR) in Wichita.
Tom says, “It was a fantastic run – a season of amazing experiences and unforgettable memories, working with exceptional colleagues, volunteers, partners, donors, artists and listeners. God has been so good through it all, and I’m very grateful.”
In March this year HMG announced plans to expand its presence in the Houston area with the opening of its new Ministry & Media Center. In the press release it was also announced that, “Over the next two years, HMG is projected to expand its portfolio of offerings and bring at least 50 positions to its new, state of the art Houston headquarters funded by generous donors, with the capacity to hold more than 220 team members alone. This move celebrates HMG’s ultimate vision to streamline operations, go from nine national offices to two hubs, and strategically increase content to engage more listeners.”
Family Life Radio/Tucson air personalities Shannyn Caldwell and Samantha Kelly have launched a brand new podcast. It’s called “Survivor Stories with Shannyn and Sam”
Shannyn, who’s currently undergoing cancer treatments says, “She’s been such and encouragement to me in my breast cancer journey and we wanted to share that energy and hope with YOU-listen any time at www.Myflr.org and where ever you find your podcasts.”

DJRD Broadcasting is donating KAAM/Garland/Dallas, TX (770 AM) to First Dallas Media. The donation is valued at $1.89 million. KAAM is silent.
Lincoln County Broadcasters is selling KLCB/Libby MT (1230 AM) to Northwest Capital Corporation for $10,000. KLCB is currently silent. Also LCB is selling sister station KTNY/Libby (101.7) to Hi-Line Radio Fellowship for $30,000. Buyers are Roger Londquists “Your Network of Praise“.
KBBW/Waco (1010 AM) and translators 100.3 K262DG/Georgetown, 101.3 K267CA/Templa, and 105.9 K290CV/Waco are being sold to American Broadcasting of Texas for $204,440.
HisAir is deeply saddened to report John McArthur who passed today at age 86.
MacArthur’s daily radio program, Grace to You began as sermons from the Grace Community Church pulpit recorded on reel-to-reel (and then audio cassettes). In 1977, those sermons were first broadcast on WRBS/Baltimore and the radio ministry of the church was born.

Shine.FM/Kankakee, IL announces that Don Burns (left) will be joining them as the new network program director.
“We are very excited to have Don join our team,” says GM Brian McIntyre. “He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to lead the Shine programming team.”
Don exited the PD slot at WPER/Fredericksburg (Positive Hits) in March 2016 to join KLVV/KZTH/Ponca City (My Praise FM/The House FM) as GM.
