WCSG/Grand Rapids trends 8.0-8.3  AQH P12+ Mon-Sun 6am-12 midnight Nielsen and holds on to the top spot in the market. 


Spring Arbor University Radio, home of WSAE/Spring Arbor (106.9 HOME.fm) & WJKN/Spring Arbor, MI (The Arbor FM Network), has launched a new online Positive Hip Hop format station Breakaway Radio. The new station is available on its Free App, & online at www.BreakawayRadio.org.

SAU Radio PD/MD, Glenn Goodwin said, “We are excited to have Breakaway Radio as part of our stations. It is so great to add this station here as the primary station for Spring Arbor University students to learn real world radio broadcasting applications like programming, promotions, on-air, production and digital.  News of this station, has been met with great excitement and anticipation, and we are so happy to officially launch Breakaway Radio as our third format!”

 

 

 

 


Brian Crowe tells HisAir his Gospel Radio Favorites program welcomes the COACB television & radio network as a new affiliate broadcast station. Gospel Radio Favorites is now the largest syndicated southern gospel radio program in the world.

Brian says, “We are excited to welcome The Central Ohio Association of Christian Broadcasters WGCT, WOCB, WQIZ, WXCB to our affiliate family. Currently, GRF broadcasts to over 1700 radio stations around the world. “I am blessed with the acceptance of my program, and the willingness of stations of different genres to air southern gospel music and the life changing message of Jesus Christ to the masses.”


The nominees in 25 categories for the 38th Annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards have been announced. 

The 38th edition of the Stellar Awards will premiere on the newly-launched Stellar TV between Monday, July 24 and August 6, 2023, as well as air in national broadcast syndication from August 7 through September 10, 2023. Taping will be Saturday, July 15 at the Las Vegas Orleans Arena. Gospel music’s most epic celebration is co-hosted this year by Gospel superstars and multiple Stellar Award winners Tasha Cobbs-Leonard and Jonathan McReynolds, who returns to share co-hosting duties for the 2nd year.

Don Jackson, Founder of the Stellar Awards and Chairman of Central City Productions, Inc. commented, “I am elated to celebrate this landmark 38th year of the Stellar Gospel Music Awards and its premiere on our very own newly-launched Stellar TV network. Our flagship show is one of the longest-running nationally televised African American awards programs in history – we couldn’t be more proud to bring this new inspirational network to viewers, while honoring the work of Gospel music artists and industry professionals who use their gifts to lift the spirits of many during troubling times. Starting July 10th WNFR/Sanduskey, MI (Hope FM) afternoon host Brett Hager will have a co-host. WNFR Promotions/on air host Emma Falls will team with Brett for afternoons. 


HisAir is saddened to report the passing of Mike Kellogg. Mike worked at Moody Radio hosting Music Thru The Night. 

Mike was inducted into the National Religious Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 2015.
