The conference featured a range of informative topics at the seminar led by Terrance Howell and Jesse Wood of Revival Music Company, and Ju Joyner of WTJZ/Norfolk (Praise Radio).  The conference provided numerous networking sessions, facilitating connections among gospel artists, producers, radio promoters, and other professionals. These sessions fostered collaboration and opened doors for future projects and partnerships. WPOZ/Orlando (Z88.3) air personality Julie West has released a new book “Exiting Egypt” – Lessons From the Life of an Exiled Prince. It is available for download on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

In her first book release, Julie dives deep into the story of Moses and helps us see and learn from a reluctant leader powerfully transformed by his obedience to God. Exiting Egypt calls us all to walk in greater faith.

-Dave Ramsey says, “Born out of obedience, the Exodus began the moment Moses slipped off his shoes in the wilderness. Freedom follows obedience. Exiting Egypt presents neglected truths in compelling ways. Being a story of transformation, the text highlights micro-adjustments made in submission to God, which remade a hesitant exile into the legendary law giver. As Moses allowed himself to be changed, a nation was freed. Moses was not called to work miracles. He was called to obey and watch what God would do. That promise stands. Freedom waits. Watch. Obey. See what God will do to transform lives and free captives desperate to exit their own Egypts.”

Aside from her Christian Radio career Julie West is an author, Bible teacher, media personality and founder of Worth Remembering Ministries. As a lifelong student of scripture, Julie is known for her humor and ability to help others grasp Biblical truth.

WDAC/Lancaster OM Mike Stike celebrates 45 years at the station. Mike who also serves as morning host began at WDAC in 1979.

HisAir thought this must be some kind of record but Mike told us, “I’m not sure it’s a record though.  I had a co-worker who worked here 52 years. Our office manager started the same year (1979) I did and our news director started here in ’82.  The moral of the story?  We’ve got a lot of old people here.”

The new #1 song at Southern Gospel this week is “Forgiven” from Joseph Habedank on Daywind.

Audio consulting firm Alan Burns & Associates report on American women media preferences “What Women Want” shows many women often place their favorite AM/FM stations on par with essential devices like smartphones, and even value them more than popular platforms like Amazon, Netflix, Apple, Spotify, and TikTok. The findings further indicated that female listeners are loyal to specific stations of choice, not necessarily to AM/FM radio overall.

NRB members who are women leaders in broadcasting shared their insights about the survey findings and how to overcome challenges in finding and reaching your target audience.
