WRVL/Lynchburg/Roanoke (The Journey) passed its Spring Fundraising goal. The four-day Partner Invitation event was highlighted by incredible stories of God working in and through the lives of listeners.
General Manager Mark Edwards said, “The stories behind why people listen and support the ministry always impact the staff.” The stories included a college student giving what they could because they didn’t want to “take the Journey for granted,” a listener donating twice during the week after losing their home in a fire, and a long-time listener walking into the station to present a $12,000 gift and saying, “use it to spread the Gospel of Christ.”
Edwards added, “We are beyond blessed and so grateful for how God is working through the lives of listeners to help The Journey reach our community.” On air hosts included Mark Edwards, Brittany Minard, Kate Justice, Laura Chase, and guest hosts Larry Walters, and Rodney Baylous.
Hope Media Group (HMG) President Tim Dukes tells HisAir he will exit his position at the end of June. Tim will become a senior advisor and continue to work on HMG projects to support HMG CEO Joe Paulo.
Dukes joined WayFM in 2015 as Dallas-Ft Worth GM. In August 2024 he was promoted from to President from Chief Operating Officer. In the President role, Tim oversaw day-to-day operations, leveraging his extensive media experience and gave him the authority to expand HMG’s scope through strategic partnerships and acquisitions.
Dukes served as Interim WayFM CEO after the HMG WayFM merger in Jan 2022.
Prior to joining WayFM/Dallas Dukes was in various roles at mainstream stations WYHY/Nashville, WFLZ/Tampa, WTFX/Louisville. Management: WEBN/Cincinnati, Jacor/San Diego, Clear Channel/Atlanta, WLUP/Chicago, Tribune/Chicago, and at Halftime Institute/Dallas, Gateway Church/Dallas…

Phil Wickham is expanding into publishing with the announcement of his upcoming book, Everyday Hallelujah: Unlocking Deep Joy Through Everyday Acts of Worship. Wickham shared the news with fans on social media this week, revealing that the book is set for release on August 11.
“For over 20 years I’ve been writing and singing songs about Jesus, but I am realizing now more than ever that not all hallelujahs are sung, most are lived,” Wickham wrote in his announcement.

K-LOVE and Billboard have announced the nominees for the 13th Annual K-LOVE Fan Awards. Phil Wickham leads with four nominations, while Lauren Daigle, Jamie MacDonald, Jeremy Camp, Josiah Queen, and Elevation Worship each received three.
The K-LOVE Fan Awards honor artists, songs and performances in Christian music across multiple categories, as well as recognizing standout achievements in film, television, books, sports and digital media. The event is part of a weekend of programming and performances in Nashville, including previously announced concerts and showcases, with Levi Lusko now confirmed as the speaker for the Sunday morning worship service.
The awards show will take place live at the OPRY House on May 24 and will air exclusively on Trinity Broadcasting Network on May 29 at 7:30 p.m. ET. An encore presentation will air at 10:00 p.m. ET the same night and on June 5. Coca-Cola Consolidated returns as title sponsor of the event. Full nominee list is HERE

Niki Corbin accepts the Station Manager position at Northwestern Media’s Life 97.3
Niki Corbin has been named the Station Manager of KDNW/Duluth (Life 97.3). Niki began working at Northwestern Media as an Administrative Assistant in 2012 and now leads Northwestern’s ministry efforts in the Twin Ports of Duluth and Superior, Wisconsin.
