Life FM/Australia Lunchbox Legends campaign in its 5th year finished bigger than ever before.
Life FM set an ambitious goal to collect 1,000 lunchboxes to support local children that goal was surpassed in spectacular fashion. A total of 1,402 lunchboxes were donated. That’s more than double the previous largest year.
Tallahassee based Faith Radio is selling two AM / FM translator combinations covering Panama City and much of Bay County, FL. Both are available for immediate purchase. The stations are currently on the air, have excellent equipment, and are well-maintained. Both of these stations have excellent coverage. Asking price is $180,000 for each combo or $325,000 for both. WRGN/Hunlock Creek, PA is preparing for their Share-a-Thon at sister station WIVH/Christiansted, Virgin Islands (89.9) that will take place this Friday and Saturday.
Tim tells HisAir, “We started the station as a mission station in 1993, and the island has embraced the station and made it their own, now providing more than half of the stations support to keep it on the air.”

Sound of Life Radio Network/Lake Katrine, NY morning host Joe Hunter celebrates 33 years on staff this week.
At Joe’s 30 year mark Sound of Life Radio GM Connie VanKleeck told HisAir, “Joe is a Greensboro, NC native and is known for his signature warmth, humor and breezy anecdotes that often include memories of growing up in the South.”
The veteran broadcaster’s radio career began with a weekend slot at WMAP/Monroe, NC. From there, he moved to sales and on-air positions at WNOW/Charlotte, and later, WGNA/Albany, NY. The Sound of Life Radio Network includes 12 frequencies in New York State. Joe has served as the morning show host for most of those 33 years and has been Program Director since 2004.

It’s the end of an era…. And the start of another. Tomorrow WLUP/Chicago (The Loop) will cease to exist as a mainstream rock station. EMF announced it has purchased the station from Merlin Media this week for $21.5 mil.
EMF CEO Mike Novak told the Chicago Tribune this week, “We’re really excited about being able to get into the Chicagoland area. We’re hopeful that we have some sort of impact on the people of Chicago and that we can provide a positive and encouraging atmosphere in these days of uncertainty.”

Joseph Kebbie has joined Your Network of Praise (YNOP) as Africa Director at the New Life Satellite Network. YNOP plans to launch the New Life Africa Satellite Network on May 1st.
YNOP General Manager, Roger Lonnquist, said “Joseph’s background and skills are exactly what we need. We had been hoping the Lord would provide someone like him to help us launch the New Life Africa Satellite Network and are grateful that Joseph is joining us in this vital work.”
