WCVO/Columbus (104.9 The River) has gone on an additional 7 FM signals in Ohio.
In early Nov 2024 Soaring Eagle Promotions, owner of WSOH/Bellefontaine, OH (Rise FM) announced that it would merge with River Radio Ministries of Columbus, WCVO/Columbus (104.9 The River). Rise FM and The River both plan to flip to all Christmas music Friday 11/29 when the merger will take place.
Rise FM stations have become The River. WSOH was know as Shine FM until Dec 2021 when it adopted Rise FM.
Rise FM founder/GM Mark Boyer says the merger is not for financial reasons, “Even though the last three years have been more challenging because of inflation, God has continued to provide for our needs. We can accomplish more for the Kingdom by merging our resources, our connections, and the talents of our employees.”
No word on any staff changes with the merge.
Appleton, WI based The Family Radio Network closed on the purchase of WJTI-AM/Milwaukee (1460) and translator at 102.5 FM. Call letters were changed to WEMK. That same day, The Family Radio Network switched from contemporary Christian music to Christmas songs.

The Family Radio Network has filed to purchase Hartford, WI-licensed translator W225CP at 92.9 for $320,000.
Encouragement Media Group closed on the purchase of KSSP/Little Rock (93.9) from Salem. Price is $1.55 million deal.
