Congrats to Texas based Voice Over talent Linda O’Brien Gorski who was inducted in the Texas Radio Hall of Fame (TRHOF) Class of 2023. 

Twenty individuals were honored Saturday, November 4th at the TRHOF’s Annual Induction Ceremony at the Texas Museum of Broadcasting and Communications in Kilgore, TX. Including KSBJ/Houston co-founder Buddy Holiday. Holiday passed away September 8, 2017 and signed on then new station KSBJ in 1982. He retired in 2001.

John Broomall estimates more than half of the 2,000 LPFM stations on the air in the United States are operated by churches and Christian ministries. He estimates he has submitted more than 1,000 successful filings to the commission.

Broomall operates Christian Community Broadcasters, a consultancy near Atlanta and is considered an authority on helping churches, ministries, schools and community groups build and operate noncommercial low-power FM stations. Broomall is featured in a special on Radio World.

Salem Media Group announced it plans to report its third quarter 2023 financial results after the market closes on November 13, 2023.

And, Salem will be a co-host of the next Republican presidential primary debate, slated for Nov. 8, 2023, in Miami. Airing on NBC from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., the event marks the third presidential primary debate in the current election cycle, and the first to be hosted by a network other than FOX.

The Hispanic Family Christian Network has voluntarily relinquished the licenses for three stations: KRIQ/Richton, MS (88.9) KZYU/Wellton, AZ (91.7) and KZOB/O’Brien, TX (105.5).
