“It is a great honor to take what I have learned about midlevel and major donors over 26 years and match that up with experts in the Christian radio industry. I am happy to be part of the Vidare team that believes that fundraising is what we do 365 days per year in multiple channels and not just what happens during a share.”
Compassion International and WAWZNYC (Star 99.1) teamed up recently to feed families affected by a global food crisis. Due to the ongoing impact of Covid-19, the war in Ukraine, and rising global inflation, families who were already at risk are now facing severe food insecurity.
Star 99.1 listeners caught the vision and responded generously, reaching 127% of the goal.
“What an amazing event with Star 99.1,” said Matt Hahn of Compassion. “It was a blessing to team up with listeners to be the hands and feet of Jesus and feed over 1,200 families for one month through Compassion’s Global Food Crisis campaign.”
