Honoring the 30th birthday today Yes FM is counting down the Top 100 from the past 30 years.

YES FM programs to the young people of Northwest/West-Central Ohio and Southeast Michigan. There are currently four stations in the YES FM Radio Network with frequencies in Toledo, Lima, Wauseon, and Fremont.

Yes FM PD morning host Jeff Howe, who’s been with the station over 29 years tells HisAir, “For our anniversary we had a concert on October 30th with Zauntee, George Moss, and Jimmy Rock. On our actual birthday (we signed on shortly after noon on November 14, 1992) we counted down the top 100 songs of our 30-year history.”

KCVO/Camdenton, MO (Spirit FM) finished up their 2022 Fall Fundraiser topping the goal on Thursday (11/10) raising just over 100% of their goal.

General manager Jim McDermott tells HisAir, “We have the best listeners who have consistently provided the funds for us to do our mission: Connecting You To God and Each Other.”

Vidare Creative has partnered with Mike Meyers to provide major donor consulting services for its clients.

Meyers is currently the Chief Development Officer for CRISTA Ministries. His history as a partner at NonProfit DNA and as CEO for Food for the Hungry uniquely position him with the knowledge and experience to guide Vidare Clients to engage their major donors. He is also co-author of Maximize the Middle: Managing Your Ministry’s Mid-Level Donors. (Available at Amazon.com)

“It is a great honor to take what I have learned about midlevel and major donors over 26 years and match that up with experts in the Christian radio industry.  I am happy to be part of the Vidare team that believes that fundraising is what we do 365 days per year in multiple channels and not just what happens during a share.”

Compassion International and WAWZNYC (Star 99.1) teamed up recently to feed families affected by a global food crisis. Due to the ongoing impact of Covid-19, the war in Ukraine, and rising global inflation, families who were already at risk are now facing severe food insecurity.

Star 99.1 listeners caught the vision and responded generously, reaching 127% of the goal.

“What an amazing event with Star 99.1,” said Matt Hahn of Compassion. “It was a blessing to team up with listeners to be the hands and feet of Jesus and feed over 1,200 families for one month through Compassion’s Global Food Crisis campaign.”
