WKNZ/Milford, DE (The Bridge) is hosting the event, called CUPS Comedy Cast Party, Kristoffer Polaha, an actor who has appeared in 21 Hallmark movies, plus countless other television, film and stage productions, on Friday, October 23, 2026.

Polaha is playing the lead role in an upcoming film, working title RESCUED, about an American comedian named Mike Williams who moves his family to the Dominican Republic in 2010 and becomes involved in an attempt to rescue a Haitian refugee from Russian human traffickers. That led to the establishment of CUPS Mission, an organization that today works in 3 countries on 2 continents helping fight poverty, and provide young boys and girls education, training, and options to avoid being trafficked. The Bridge staff and listeners have provided funds, labor, and equipment to CUPS Mission projects for almost a decade.

Polaha, Williams, along with director Reynolds, Executive Producer Jack Eason, Associate Producer Benjamin Weeks, and others are coming to Delaware to celebrate the completion of the production phase of the movie, and to thank listeners of The Bridge for their role in supporting the mission and the production of the film. The evening will include a Q&A, a first-look at exclusive behind-the-scenes footage, and a clip from the movie.

The movie was shot on location in the Dominican Republic in March and April of this year, and is currently in post-production with a projected release in late 2027.

The Bridge network includes stations in Delaware, Maryland, Virginia and New Jersey, has been a long-time supporter of CUPS Mission, and its listeners sponsor a village near Puerto Plata called La Union Abajo.

The release arrives during a milestone season for the five-time GRAMMY® Award winner, 40-time GMA Dove Award recipient and Gospel Music Hall of Fame member as she celebrates her 70th birthday and prepares to return to the Grand Ole Opry stage on October 11, marking her first performance on the iconic stage in many years.

Radio Training Network has filed a $2.05 million deal to buy KKEG/Fayetteville, AR (98.3) WIXV/Savannah, GA from Cumulus Media.

K-LOVE Inc has filed a $320,000 deal to buy KNTI/Lakeport, CA (99.5) from Bicoastal Media.

Hope Media Group has filed a $152,500 deal to buy WRGP/Homestead, Florida (88.1) from Florida International University.

First Dallas Media has filed a $300,000 deal to buy the Dallas, TX-licensed translator K273BJ at 102.5 FM from Salem Media. The signal will relay the HD2 channel of KCBI/Dallas-FM (90.9) and KCBI-AM (770).

K-LOVE Inc has closed a $2.7 million deal to buy WZBA/Baltimore (100.7) from Times Shamrock Media. The deal includes the Baltimore, MD-licensed W261CD at 100.1 FM and the Bel Air, MD-licensed W298CG at 107.5 FM.  the Wilkes Barre-Scranton, PA market and a Las Vegas FM.

Dr. James C. Dobson, renowned Christian Radio broadcaster, leader, psychologist, author, and advisor to five U.S. presidents, passed away today, August 21, 2025, at age 89. He spent his life advocating for biblical values, strong marriages, and the traditional family.

Launching in 1977 Dr Dobson produced the daily radio program Focus on the Family, which was broadcast in more than a dozen languages and on over 7,000 stations worldwide, and reportedly heard daily by more than 220 million people in 164 countries. In 2010, he launched the radio broadcast Family Talk with Dr. James Dobson.

WAY Media Chief Content Officer Faron Dice has announced that Todd Stach has been named Network Program Director, effective October 1, 2017. Just earlier today Stach announced he was leaving his position at WCVO/Columbus (104.9 The River) after 11 years. His lat day at WCVO will be Sept 29th and he will help the station in the transition period. 

“I am very excited to have Todd join our team,” says Dice. “His experience, programming knowledge, and passion are exactly what we have been looking for in someone to take the reins and lead our programming team!”
