The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) is welcoming Ken Mayfield into the role of programming and content manager for The Billy Graham Channel, the Sirius XM channel 460. The channel presents the messages of Billy Graham, all curated from the BGEA’s audio archives of over 65 years of ministry.

Mayfield brings with him over 35 years of Christian radio experience, including previous positions at KLOVE and His Radio, and as General Manager of WRCM/Charlotte. He has also served as Communications Minister of First Baptist North Spartanburg, SC.

“Ken’s career has showcased his gift for using media to connect with and minister to people, be it radio, digital or through worship. We’re excited that Ken will be applying that expertise to The Billy Graham Channel,” said Phil Fleischman, managing producer for BGEA’s Audio Ministry Services.

Mayfield will begin his new role on June 20. He also handles weekends on the air at BGEA’s  WMIT/Asheville (The Light FM).

Obadiah HaybinObadiah Haybin has been tapped for a Sunday afternoon shift on WCVO/Columbus (!04.9 The River). Haybin hosted morning on RadioU/Columbus and exited in June 2021. He currently is heard overnights at WayFM, mornings at KOAY/Boise (Project 887) and weekends at SOS/LAs Vegas.


Bethel Music co-founder Jenn Johnson has been named President and Interim CEO.  She assumes the position after co-founding the label in 2001 with her husband Brian. Last month, Joel Taylor, the CEO of Bethel Music, left the company after 13 years

“I’m so fired up about the future of Bethel Music,” shares Jenn. “We have such an incredible group of people joining us on this journey and pushing us to the next level. The new music that we are creating and the community surrounding it is the strongest it’s been. This new era of Bethel Music has been so beautiful, and I am so excited to see what’s in store.”

The new morning show at KJTM-LP/Lincoln (TiM FM) Matt McKay and Beth (Swihart) grabbed some local press prior to the launch.

The very first Quartet Music Awards (The QMAs) will take place on Tomorrow, June 18 in Atlanta. The ceremony will be a history-making night of performances and memorable moments. The QMAs will showcase the rich legacy the genre of Quartet has contributed to the landscape of Gospel, Soul, Blues, Rock, and R&B music. The award show will be hosted by ‘the hottest host on the east coast’ Justin Rufus and The Ambassador Dr. Bobby Jones.

The Quartet Music Awards is the vision of D. Chubbs Morton. Morton is a songwriter, musician, and front-man for the popular group D. Morton and Gifted.

“It’s time. Quartet has fought tirelessly to be recognized and respected for our music and our culture,” explains D. Chubbs Morton, QMA Chief Executive Officer. “Major awards shows have refused to include our artists on their main stages. It’s time we become the change we want to see.”
