TWR partners in Ukraine have endured danger, hardships, and turmoil since the war with Russia began one year ago today. However, they have also witnessed the incredible work of God amidst the chaos. TWR Ukraine Director Alexander Chmut recently revealed that they are receiving more responses to their programs than ever before in their history. While they do not know when the war will end, they are witnessing a remarkable display of God’s power in the lives of millions.

Despite being on opposite sides of the war, the governments of Ukraine and Russia, as well as the government of Belarus, are united in their resolve to spread the good news of Jesus Christ to those who are lost. Our ministry friends in Russia and Belarus, along with our partners in Ukraine, are working together towards this common goal.

From the outset of the war, TWR has been proactive in addressing the demands and possibilities that have arisen. Some of the measures taken include:

  • Shortly after the war broke out, TWR commenced transmission to Ukraine, Russia, and Belarus using a second transmitter.
  • In April 2022, TWR unveiled a round-the-clock livestream for Ukrainian refugees.
  • TWR was able to provide assistance to team members who were displaced by the fighting, acquire resources to maintain ministry operations, and finance substantial alterations to ensure that broadcasts could continue airing thanks to donations to our Ukraine-Russia Crisis Fund.
