KTLF/Colorado Springs (The KTLF Radio Network) was knocked off the air due to a fire at their studios.

Posted on the KTLF website is a message from KTLF GM Josh Hopkins:  Currently the fire investigators believe it was an electrical fire in the sub-ceiling between the first and second floors. We have been able to pull the music files from our backups and are working to get it uploaded to our streaming servers so we can get the music back up on the website and broadcasting over the air.

Please keep the KTLF staff in your prayers while they get things back to normal.

CMB issued an update regarding Station of the Year Awards.

Stations no longer need to enter to be considered for the awards, instead, CMB will have a nomination committee that will vet stations for small, medium, large and major markets. The committee will name 5 finalists for each of the categories. These nominees will be announced on March 31 and will need to submit an application that replicates what has been done in previous years focusing on community service/kingdom impact, on-air presentation, and digital media.

Also, CMB is adding two new awards. One to a podcast associated with a station. The second award is for a college radio station. The nominees will be reviewed by a panel of radio professionals primarily outside of the Christian music industry who are non-biased and objective.

The awards will be announced on Friday, June 2, during CMB’s Awards Dinner at Momentum 2023 in Orlando.
