Today is the deadline to submit your nominations for the 2023 NRB Media and Special Service Awards.
The NRB Media Awards program is designed to encourage excellence in production, service to the community, faithfulness to the mission, commitment to the Gospel, and personal integrity. We recognize that material awards and public recognition are not an ultimate priority in relation to our spiritual calling to take the message of hope to the world through media. However, by honoring and celebrating outstanding facilities, ministries, programs, and producers, we hope to inspire others to raise their standards and create more compelling, relevant, and challenging Christian programming.
NRB members are invited to nominate individuals and organizations that they believe best meet the awards criteria. Self-submissions are encouraged from qualified members and will not be viewed negatively as a form of self-promotion but rather as members seeking a form of recognition for their teams that will provide motivation to continually strive for excellence.

Steven Curtis Chapman’s new album Still is out now, courtesy of Provident Entertainment/ Sony Music..
With his latest project, Chapman has shared a strong willingness to shine a light on his pain and struggles, but also his faith, joy, redemption, and hope, infusing each of the twelve songs with universal goodness. The most-awarded artist in Christian music history shares, “It’s a two-edged sword. At some point, you walk in with a bunch of new songs hoping people are ready to hear something new. The hard part is people don’t always want that. They want to hear the hits.”
HisAir is deeply saddened to report the passing of WJLZ/Virginia Beach (Current FM) morning host Jenn Creasy.
WJLZ GM Anne Verebely told HisAir today, “Jenn is the staff member that’s hard to find plus personally she was also a good friend. Everything she did, she did with excellence. You didn’t have to ask her twice and she was full of Trivia about Christian music – if you needed to know something she knew it. She also had a real heart for the local artist. She never missed a beat at the station, she even brought her two boys in when they were babies. She put them in the car seat & somehow she managed to them quiet while she was on the air…. we are all grieving but also rejoicing that she’s with Jesus. She’s irreplaceable to us.”
Jenn served at WJLZ for 30 years.
