Industry News Bits 9-19-19

Faith Radio Network, in conjunction with Christian Thinkers Society, celebrates the first anniversary of “The Jeremiah Johnston Show” radio show and podcast this month. “We are excited to see ‘The Jeremiah Johnston Show’ thrive on Faith Radio Network’s lineup of unique and live programming,” says Neil Stavem, director of Programming. The Jeremiah Johnston Show is a weekly, one-hour, interactive talk show airing on Saturdays at 9:00 am CT and Mondays at 12:00 am CT on Faith Radio Network stations, online, and through iTunes and other podcast platforms.


WRVL/Lynchburg (The Journey) presented its latest Hometown Hero.  Check out the video HERE.


The TWR Guam Generator Project will install a 1.5 million-watt generator for KTWR/Guam. The new transmitter will help the station stay on the air during blackouts or hurricanes that would impact KTWR being knocked off the air. The signal covers thousands of miles to multiple countries and a potential audience of millions in China, North Korea, Vietnam, Indonesia and many more places.


WDJC/Birmingham Office/Billing Manager Julia Charleston has announced she will be leaving the station. WDJC is looking for a replacement asap. Go HERE for the listing. 


Radio Business:
KFCS/Colorado Springs (AM 1580) is sold by Gabrielle Broadcasting to Greeley Broadcasting for $85k.  

Family Stations has sold translator K202BY/Enid, OK to Great Plains Christian Broadcasting (GPCB) for $10k. The translator will rebroadcast KJIL/Dodge City, KS.
