WDJC/Birmingham announced the launch of “Inside the Music with Justin Brown”; a new live on-air show hosted by WDJC PD and 18 year station vet Justin Brown. The show will air M-F from 10a-2p on Crawford Broadcasting station WDJC and livestream.

Regarding the new show Justin says, “Artists constantly share how they would meet people on the road that told them how their music moved people, how it helped them through tough and dark times, or how it led them to Christ. I hope to also be a venue that listeners can share those stories. And I plan to share those stories from the artists themselves.”

WBHY/Mobile (Power 88) MD afternoon host Kenny Fowler checks in with HisAir today. Kenny says “We’re off the air with no power at our transmitter (we are streaming at goforth.org). Our area took a major hit with Hurricane Sally. 95% of Baldwin County is out of power and it will be weeks before it’s restored in some areas.

Goforth Media has two AM stations on FM translators and one of those towers fell during the storm.

Also, WOWB/Pensacola (WOW Radio) is also still off the air at this time. The station was able to remain on the air until the back up battery back ups lasted. but is now waiting for power to be restored.

UPDATE 5:30PM WOWB power is back on at the studios. Station is streaming now. At the transmitter site, power is on there too. But the transmitter hasn’t come back up yet. The contract engineer is working his way there. (He works full time at a TV station and then has several radio stations he contracts with.). He hopes to be there this evening. If he doesn’t need parts, Station should be back up then.

Prayers for it appreciated. We don’t know what to expect with being of the air so much this week. So we’re excited to see how the Lord fulfills Romans 8:28 this time — whether during the fundraiser or later, but He always comes through.”

One of the biggest songs of PHIL WICKHAM’S career, “Living Hope” was recently certified Gold by the RIAA. Since its release in 2018, the 2019 GMA Worship Song of the Year recipient was a Top 10 radio hit and has been a staple in churches across the world, currently No. 7 on the CCLI chart.

Wickham’s latest new single “Battle Belongs,” is available now, and like “Living Hope,” was co-written with Bethel Music’s Brian Johnson. The track is a powerful proclamation that in Jesus we stand on the side of a battle that has already been won.
