KCBI/Dallas afternoon personality Theresa Ross has been given Music Director duties effective immediately. Theresa told HisAir.Net, “I am so thankful for this opportunity to speak into music decisions at KCBI, to have even more of an impact in DFW. A huge thanks to my managers Joel Burke and Matt Austin who believe in me. I’m also looking forward to building on the relationships with record labels I’ve established and grown over the years.”
KGGN/Hemet, CA has named Tim Maranville GM. KGGN is a new Southern California FM owned by Cornerstone Church serving the San Jacinto Valley north of San Diego. Most recently Tim was with WBBB/Raleigh and been an executive at Westwood One. Cornerstone Church was granted a CP in 2015 for a new Class A at 102.5 they have until March 16 of next year.
Ed Krick, Executive Director of Cornerstone Church, said “I’m thrilled that Tim agreed to join Cornerstone for this project. We are excited to see what God will do in this situation!”
Maranville added, “I would like to thank my team at WBBB for an extraordinary run from worst to best in Raleigh, a true blessing. Looking to the future, I could not be happier to be working with Cornerstone to bring the Gospel to the San Jacinto valley through a local radio presence.”
EMF is purchasing WJIW/Greenville, MS , for $500K. KLOVE is already on the air at WLRK/Greenville so its presumed the new signal (C3 @ 91.5) will be Air1.
KMOQ/Joplin, MO (New Life Radio) PD/Morning host Howie Nunnelly was able to provide some real time footage from Orlando during Hurricane Irma. Local ABC affiliate in Joplin KODE TV did the story. Check it out here.
Ambassador has hired Sparlin Sypherd as accounting manager as Kathy Randall prepares for retirement this November. Sparlin filled the same role at Ambassador over 20 years ago, and they are excited to welcome him back.
