WBCL/Ft Wayne listeners in partnership with Forgotten Children World Wide are building an Orphan home in Zimbabwe. Ten orphan Children will live in this home (left) along with a set of house parents. They will have a family environment and will be discipled for Christ. The children in this home are either abandoned by their families or their parents have passed away due to HIV Aids.

The cost to build the home is $55,000. WBCL listeners raised over $65,000 for this project. The overages will go toward building a security wall surrounding the home.

These children include 6-year-old Juliet Mapisa, 4-year-old Bonface Chidzura, 4-year-old Rumbidzai Chigora, 6-year-old Maxwell Mandigo, 6-year-old Chosen Mushure, 5-year-old Bothwell Magunje, 3-year-old Brain Dzosai, 3-year-old Fungai Gomba, 6-year-old Tsitsi Chiwero, and 4-year-old Ruvimbo Magocha.


United Christian Broadcasters of Belleville, ON. has received CRTC has approved another FM radio station for Regina. 

UCB reps were in Regina last weekend to promote the new non-profit station. 


KNXN/Sierra Vista, AZ (1470 AM 2,500 watts daytime/39 watts nighttime) is sold for $75,000 to Ted Tucker (Cochise Broadcasting). The Sierra Vista translators are K256CJ at 99.1, and K298BZ, licensed for 107.5 but holds a construction permit to move to 96.9.

EMF officially completes its $725K purchase from Anderson University for WQME/Anderson (98.7). WQME (formerly “98.7 the Song”) began programming “Air1” last March. 


All August PPM numbers from Nielsen Audio have been posted. Overall August was good for Christian music radio highlighted by the number one showing by KLJY/St Louis (99.1 Joy FM) with a 7.8 AQH 6+. Other stations placing in the top 10 in their markets include KLTY/Dallas, WFSH/Atlanta, WGTS/Wash DC, KTIS/Minneapolis, WCIE/Tampa, KSOS/Las Vegas, WCVO/Columbus, and KLOVE Indianapolis.
