Launched in November 2013, Great Songs of the Faith recently went worldwide, streaming both through WordFM.org and via app.
A love of hymns and Christian music led the board of directors of Four Rivers Community Broadcasting to establish and grow the Word FM radio network as a way to reach the community through the Christian AC format. Sister station WPAZ-AM, branded as “Great Songs of the Faith,” is an outgrowth of this initial work featuring hymns, sacred songs, teaching programs, and local church services. An homage to his grandmothers, organization president Charles Loughery says, “At Great Songs of the Faith, we strive to share the old-time favorites in original form and style as well as some newer hymns that follow what we simply call ‘the old-time style of Church music.’”
