Industry News Bits 7-6-17

At WRBS/Baltimore (95.1 Shine FM) Mike Alley announces he is leaving the morning show. Mike who has been a part of the WRBS morning show for 17 years, will devote full time to 48Live Productions, the WRBS concert ministry. Mike says ,”I’m sad to be leaving the show, but I’m excited about what’s to come.”  Mike will continue to host Sunday Night Rewind from 8PM – 11PM and will also fill in on the new Tracey and Dave, heard weekdays, 5AM – 10AM.


WRVL/Lynchburg (The Journey) along with Thomas Road Baptist Church in Lynchburg,  hosted 15,000 people for Celebrate America!  There were dozens of inflatables, games, prizes and face painting for the kids.  The Journey provided the soundtrack for the event which stretched across three football fields and several parking lots.  The Journey also synchronized patriotic music with the huge fireworks display. Thousands of people that were not on site, could still tune in to The Journey and enjoy the music and fireworks from their vantage point.


Russell Stokes joins WMIT/Black Mountain (106.9 The Light) as Ministry Associate to representing the station to donors.
