WAFJ/Augusta afternoon personality David Perry announces he will be leaving the station. WAFJ is looking for a new afternoon host. Perry has been with WAFJ over 12 years and has decided on a career change. Check HERE if you’re interested.
Duluth based The Refuge Media Group is donating its stations to University of Northwestern-St. Paul. Refuge operates WJRF/Duluth (89.5 FM) and KRFG/Nashwauk-Hibbing (102.9 FM), & KTGM/Marshall-Redwood Falls (89.9 FM) and 13 regional translators. The donation was first reported by regional media website NorthPine.com, stating that “the FCC application to transfer the licenses states that UNWSP will assume Refuge’s existing or outstanding liabilities in the amount of $46,680.70 and will fund operation of the stations until closing”.
EMF launched Air1 in New York City last Friday. Air1 is now on WARW/Port Chester (96.7) the frequency previously occupied by KLOVE. A loop was aired on 96.7 last week directing KLOVE listeners to the new 95.5 frequency.
