Industry News Bits 6-4-19

The Salem Radio Network has initiated a new, bi-weekly series of interviews with Sam Browback, United States Ambassador at Large for International Freedom. SRN News and its companion 24/7 news service Townhall News are working with the Department of State to zero-in on breaking news of the Trump administration’s support fight for religious freedom around the globe.

We are thrilled to engage our news networks in Ambassador Brownback’s vital mission,” says Tom Tradup, Vice President/ News & Talk Programming for SRN. “These bi-weekly dialogues will help set the stage for our 2,200+ news affiliates to support Ambassador Brownback’s ongoing work.”

SRN’s interviews will be conducted by SRN News religion desk editor Michael Harrington in Washington; each live session will also be recorded and made available to affiliates via SRN’s longform news channel (SNN Right) for excerpting in local talk shows and/or newscasts, or any other way stations may wish to repurpose the conversations.


At WBDX/Chattanooga (J103) Tracy Leek joins as new midday tracker and Jme Medina (works at WAY FM in Nashville) is coming on board as a part time tracker.


At The KLOVE Fan Awards Lauren Daigle won the Artist of the Year and Female Artist of the Year Awards. for KING & COUNTRY was named Group of the Year and Song of the Year for “God Only Knows.” Danny Gokey grabbed “Male Artist of the Year, Hillsong Worship for gets Worship Song of the Year (“Who You Say I Am”). And We Are Messengers “Maybe It’s Ok” is the Breakout Single of the Year.

TBN will televise the 7th annual awards show Sunday, June 9 at 9E/C.
