NGEN/Houston morning personality Marcus Sullivan has been nominated for the Texas Radio Hall Of Fame 2020.
WNWC/Madison (Life 102.5) APD/morning co-host Candice Grey has announced she will be leaving the station this October. Candice says her and husbands plan so far is to backpack around Central America and the Caribbean while they look for a place to move permanently. Candice has served at WNWC the last 7 years. Previously she was with Northwestern Media’s KDNW/Duluth (Life 97.3).
WEAA-AM/Baltimore Gospel show host Tyra Womack was fatally shot last week outside her home in a case Baltimore police call a “senseless” and “tragic murder.” Womack, who also went by Tyra Phillips professionally, was an announcer on WEAA-FM’s “Gospel Grace” program for more than 30 years, and provided information on the church community during the weekly broadcast.
New Nielsen Audio data show At Work listening is down 1.5 points to 16.2% in the April survey from 17.7% in March. Listening classified as Other was flat at 2.2%. At Home listening was up 6.1 points in the April 2020 survey, when compared to March 2020, according to an analysis conducted by the Radio Research Consortium (RRC).
