Scott Hunter, the Executive Director of NRB’s Music License Committee (NRBMLC), testified last week before the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Intellectual Property to insist that no changes be made to the longstanding exemption from sound recording royalties granted to radio broadcasters for over-the-air radio transmissions.
Far East Broadcasting is celebrating its 75th year. FEBC was the vision of Bob Bowman, John Broger while the two were students at Southern California Bible College.
Far East Broadcasting Company has expanded multiplied times and broadened its ministry to include AM, FM, shortwave, satellite, internet, and other digital technologies.
Today, more than four billion people have access to FEBC broadcasts. Last year, they received nearly 7.5 million listener responses, questions, and inquiries.
Every year the FCC randomly audits 5% of all radio and television stations to ensure they are complying with the FCC’s EEO rules related to staff recruitment. The Enforcement Bureau sent the second of its Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) audit letters for 2020 to randomly selected radio stations on June 9, 2020. Christian stations to be audited include:

KMRF-AM/Marshfield, MO
KPGA-FM/Morton, TX
WVMV-FM/China Township, MI

Comedian and emcee Dr Ofweneke (Sande Bush) has been hired by Sauti Radio, a Christian African station, as the Head of Content for the station. Sauti Radio is a new online gospel radio station.
Dr Ofweneke said, “Today I start another journey in my life, being part of an amazing project, the first-ever online gospel radio going on air! I thank God for the vision and the vision-carriers for the role of Head of Content, I will do my best to make sure we have the most unique gospel station online. So God help us.”
