WOAK/Atlanta celebrates 35 years on the air next month. WOAK was founded by Pastor Ralph Taylor and went on the air in 1984. At the time there was no Christian radio station in the area. WAOK set out to reach most of central west Georgia and central east Alabama with a Christian radio station. As part of the celebration the station will be hosting an open house on June 21.
Evangelist Franklin Graham has called for Sunday, June 2 to be a day of prayer for President Donald Trump. Graham says, “I don’t think any president in modern history has come under attack day after day after day by almost all the media. That’s just never happened. And it distracts the president. It weakens our country. For us Christians, this president has been the most Christian-friendly president in my lifetime.”
The CMB Station of the Year deadline to for entries is this Monday, June 3. CMB Station of the Year Awards are presented at Momentum in Orlando in September.
Eligibility dates for the awards are May 1, 2018 – April 30, 2019.
