KJIL/Meade announces Chayli Hammond will join the station as Underwriting Director. She is currently head of the HR Department at Southwest Medical Center in Liberal, KS. Darrin Kinser exited KJIL after 12 years for a ministry opportunity in Stillwater, OK.
i58:10 President David Harms is in the process of launching a new on-line station. Worship 24/7 will officially be up and running July 1st. David told HisAir, “For the last 18 months my wife and I have been praying through taking a new step of faith, and in those prayers God led us to start this new streaming station which will launch July 1st. It’s really a “Passion Project” for me because my work at i58:10 Media stays the same. So many doors have opened up for this project over the last 18 months that we’re excited to see where this might go.” The website is here.
Blue Ridge Broadcasting (BRB), a radio ministry of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, has entered an agreement to purchase Winston-Salem radio stations WSMX-AM and FM translator W235CY from Truth Broadcasting Corporation.
Pending approval from the Federal Communications Commission, the purchase will allow the ministry to fulfill a goal of providing its long-established Christ-centered programming on a clear signal to people throughout Winston-Salem and its’ western suburbs. WSMX is heard during daytime hours on 1500 AM with a power of 140 watts. W235CY is heard 24 hours a day on 94.9 FM with a power of 250 watts from an antenna located 1,053 feet above sea level.
The owner and license holder of KVVO-LP/Abilene, Life Church of Abilene, has made some staffing changes within the station. As of last week, KGNZ/Abilene is assisting Life Church by operating KVVO (Inspirational Country Radio). The station airs Inspirational Country Gospel Music dedicated to glorifying God, remembering the blessings of our Country, and strengthening families.
