WNWC/Madison (Life 102.5) morning show co-host Candice Grey is inspiring others to be kind after experiencing the kindness of a stranger during the Las Vegas shooting. “Sunday night was the last night of our honeymoon and went to the top floor of the Delano hotel to see the city lights. It continues to surprise me how many decisions had to be made, in the right order to get us to that hotel at that time on that day.”  Billboards are popping up around Madison with the website 432bekind.com. They aren’t your typical billboards, the motivation behind them isn’t just another advertisement, it’s a movement. Candice recounts her story of how a stranger’s random act of kindness during the Las Vegas shooting impacted her so much, she wanted to share it, and challenge others to join her and the Life 102.5 team for a 30-day #kindnesschallenge. Candice says, “Kindness spreads through action. Someone went out of their way to be kind to me and I want to make other people feel the way I did. Every day we have opportunities to make each other’s lives a little bit easier, I’m just encouraging people to take the first step.” To hear Candice’s full story go to 432bekind.com. Here is a link to Candice’s account of the Vegas shooting.

Rwanda Utilities Regulatory Authority (RURA) on Tuesday revoked the broadcasting licence of Amazing Grace Christian Radio.

The revocation, according to RURA Spokesperson Anthony Kulamba, follows failure by the FM radio station to comply with the regulator’s sanctions taken after a controversial sermon aired on January 29, 2018 in which a radio presenter and evangelist, Nicolas Niyibikora, repeatedly denigrated women referring to them as evil.

On April 19, 2018, the FCC issued a public notice of a temporary freeze on applications for new or modified fixed satellite service earth stations and fixed microwave stations operating in the 3.7-4.2 GHz band. Read the public notice here.
