Industry News Bits 4-13-16

news-iconIn a first for the partnership, Moody Church Media is teaming with TWR to take Dr. Erwin Lutzer’s “Running to Win” program to a big new audience. TWR already broadcasts the original English version of the radio program in at least 16 countries, but now Running to Win will be translated into Spanish and introduced to Latin America.  Drawing on the program’s running theme, Lutzer said, “We are expanding into Spanish for one simple reason: We want our Spanish-speaking friends to know Christ and join us as we learn to serve him faithfully, all the way to the finish line.”


WMUV/Jacksonville (The Promise) is now airing Keep The Faith in evenings 7-mid. Also due to health reasons, GM Calvin Grabau has stepped down from the position, but is still involved with the non com all talk stations which consist of WATY in Georgia – WTRJ/Jacksonville and WAYL/St Augustine. Also at WMUV Theresa Ross is now in afternoons and PD Gary Walsh is teamed with Paulette on the morning show. You may remember them from the old “Promise” about 10 years ago.  


WMVV/Griffin (New Life Radio) will host Nancy DeMoss April 28th at a local church where she will record five “Revive Our Hearts” programs live for later broadcast. Revive Our Hearts is heard on over six hundred radio stations across the country including New Life Radio in South Atlanta at 11:05 a.m. each weekdays.


The NRB Advisory and Standing Committees will meet at the World Center Marriott in Orlando on May 19 and 20. Special room rates end on April 15th (this Friday) so if you plan to attend you’ll need to book your room(s) right away by going here
