Matt Deane headed to Waterloo

WCLQ/Wausau (89Q) Program Director and morning host Matt Deane is exiting and headed for the PD position at KNWS/Waterloo (Life 101.9). He will start at KNWS at the end of the month.

Matt had this to say, “To say leaving 89Q and our Highland Community Church family will be difficult is an understatement. At the same time, though, Northwestern Media is doing some amazing things in Eastern Iowa and we truly believe that God has led us to this new opportunity and we’re excited for what lies ahead.”

Life 101.9 station manager Doug Smith says, “We’re thrilled to have Matt on our team.  He has a real heart for ministry and we’re looking forward to great things for eastern Iowa.”   Matt replaces former PD Bryon Mengle, who departed in January for a pastoral position on the west coast. 

Matt has been in Wausau for 14 years so WCLQ GM Coy Sawyer has some big shoes to fill and has already started his search. Check the listing HERE…
