April O’Brien has resigned her position as PD at WYSZ/Toledo (Yes FM). April says, “For those of you whom I have served with, I deeply appreciate your friendship and the opportunity to work with you over the last several years. Know that you will be missed and that I wish you well as you continue to minister in your respective roles.”
WYSZ GM Jeff Howe told HisAir, “Please join us in praying for April and her family as they enter into a new season of following the Lord’s will. April was with YES FM in different capacities leading up to Program Director for almost 20 years.” Howe will be temporarily taking over programming duties with the assistance of YES FM staff.
April has been PD since 2014 and joined WYSZ in 2000.
Mark Daniels (at left) is stepping back from mornings on Family Radio. The 40-year radio vet says he will focus on his primary gig as Director of Broadcasting at the Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals. Mark is also former WFIL/WNTP/Philadelphia, Programming/Marketing Manager and morning host. He exited that position in May 2018.
KCMI/Terrytown, NE (97.1 Christian Media Inc) GM Russ Garrett celebrates 20 years with the station. He found Christ while listening to KCMI in 1990. “We have no idea who’s out there listening. Just like this station didn’t have any idea I was out there listening. Then I show up here at the station and they hear my story. It’s like, ‘Wow.’ … That’s what’s exciting about showing up here and doing what we do. On the other end of the radio somebody may turn that on and then watch God do something.”Russ is featured in a story in local press. Check it out HERE.
