Faith Radio/St Paul morning Program Host/Senior Producer Dr. Bill Maier announces he is leaving the network effective February 17th. Faith Radio GM Dick Whitworth says, “We received notice this week that Bill is stepping down from his position as Program Host/Senior Producer of the morning show”.
Dr. Maier explained, “given the current political climate, I’ve decided to take a break from hosting a daily issues-based radio show to focus on my writing and voice-over work and to spend more time with my family.”
Whitworth continued, “We understand and appreciate Dr. Bill’s desires, and wish him God’s best.”
Salem Media Group announced today that Chicago-based talk show host Joe Walsh will be joining the network lineup in the 9pm to midnight ET time slot, replacing Steve Deace on February 20th. Walsh, a former U.S. Congressman, comes to the network from WIND/Chicago (AM 560 The Answer), where he holds down the 5pm to 7pm slot. Walsh will continue with the local show, and add the national show later in the evening.
Air1 adds the new night show “Mike and Lauren Afternoon Show.” Thats former night personality Lauren Lee teaming up with Mike Wilson. Wilson was previously APD/MD/afternoon air talent at KNTY/Sacramento.
Provident Label Group is adding a new member to the radio promotions team. Lindsay Crane joins the team on March 6th from KLOVE / Air1 where she has been leading promotions and events in Indianapolis. Prior to that, Lindsay worked for a firm, managing digital marketing clients.
Provident Label Group VP of National Promotions, Jeff Cruz says, “We could not be more excited about Lindsay coming on board. I have seen her passion for the listener, her hard work and dedication first hand while working in Indianapolis. I feel like her experience gives Lindsay a real understanding of radio’s needs for events and promotions that will really help us develop promotional tools and opportunities.”
