KAXL/Bakersfield (Life 88.3) is back on the air.  The station went off the air last week due to transmitter failure. KAXL morning host Jon Engan says,  “After hours of trouble shooting we found our issue and were able to get the transmitter back on the air. It wasn’t a major or costly repair but we did find a quite a few things that are marginal at best. The California heat and dry air really does a number on even the less delicate components. Tonight we are having a kick-off banquet for our Capital Campaign to not only replace the transmitter but find a new home for the station. We don’t have to move…but we have been leasing space for 25 years and would love to get into a place that we own. The campaign is called “Amplify” and it is our hope to raise $350,000 over the next three years specially for those needs.”
