news-iconEMF is purchasing WETN/Wheaton, Il (250w at 88.1) in western Chicago) for $150k. The seller is Wheaton College.  Its expected WETN will flip to Air1 early next year. 


Amanda Woods is the new Events and Audience Promotions Manager at WMOT/Ashville (106.9 The Light). She was previously with Western Carolina Rescue Mission.


NRB hosted a Christmas open house and reception at its new headquarters in Washington, D.C., on Thursday, December 8. The two-hour event was attended by staff, members, and friends of NRB in D.C., as well as congressional staff and members of the press. It also included a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

“This is a very strategic place because we have immediate access to the legislative, judicial, and executive branches. And so we can interface with them immediately if something comes up,” noted Bill Blount, President of Blount Communications Group and Chairman of the NRB Board of Directors, during the dedication.


Premier Christian Radio host Cindy Kent has picked up her MBE for services to religious broadcasting at a ceremony at Buckingham Palace.

Kent was the very first “presenter” when Premier Christian Radio launched in London in 1995. An MBE is an award given by the Queen to an individual for outstanding service to the community or local ‘hands on’ service. The definition of MBE is Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire.
