Lakeshore Communications says that after 17 years of WORQ/Green Bay (Q-90 FM) General Manager Mike LeMay and his wife Nancy (at left) are retiring due to health reasons. 

“The Q-90 FM Board of Directors thanks Mike and Nancy for their positive impact on the ministry, it’s listeners and supporters. They were never too busy to take the time to talk and pray with listeners who stopped by or called when they needed encouragement from God’s Word. Mike and Nancy are grateful for the many friends they made as they served in the ministry.”

Christmas should be the most joyous time of the year-but WBDX/Chattanooga  (J103) knows that for many families this is a difficult time for numerous reasons.  Thanks to the support of great partners, and individual sponsors, J103 is touching families with Christmas Wishes this holiday season.

WBDX PD Ted Gocke told HisAir, “For Several years now we ask for people to nominate those that need a real Christmas Wish.  Everyone has wants…we want to bless people with real “needs.” There are so many non-profit organizations and ministries that bless families for Christmas, but the J103 Christmas Wish desires to impact families for much longer than Christmas-we desire to make a real change in their lives. Nominations go for two weeks in late August.  The final selection is made early September and the nominators are informed and our staff begins secretly meeting with our donors and sponsors to make their wishes come true.  The first Saturday in December the families chosen are brought to the radio station for a “tour” and are surprised with their Christmas Wish.  Once the wishes are recorded, edited, produced and ready to go they are released on our social media platforms and website and at the same time the audio is played on the air.”

The entry window to submit your NAB Crystal Radio Award entry opens on January 1. Ten NAB member stations will receive national recognition and be honored with this prestigious award during the 2020 NAB Show in Las Vegas.  Information is available HERE.
