Provident Music Group artists, labels, songwriters, and publishers grabbed 15 Grammy Award nominations for the 62nd Grammy Awards® announced today. Kirk Franklin, Mark Hall (Casting Crowns), Tauren Wells, and Zach Williams each received two nominations for both artist performance and songwriter. Essential Music Publishing’s Ethan Hulse received two songwriting nominations and Bryan Fowler is recognized as producer. RCA Inspiration’s Travis Greene, Koryn Hawthorne, Donald Lawrence, and William Murphy each received one nomination.
Curb/Word artists for KING & COUNTRY received nominations for Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song (God Only Knows) and Best Contemporary Christian Music Album (Burn The Ships).
Grammy Awards will be held live on Sunday, January 26, 2020, in Los Angeles.
Congratulations to WDJC/Birmingham PD Justin Brown who received a nomination for “Best Radio Commercial” in the SOVAS Awards this past weekend in Los Angeles.
The spot read by Josh (dad parts) and his daughter Abigail previously won “Best International Male Performance” in the One Voice Awards in London earlier this year.
KHCB/Houston (Houston Christian Broadcasters) has been LMA’ing KRGL/Ringgold, LA (licensed to the First Baptist Church in Castor, La). KHCB has been programming it the past 5 years and now they have agreed to donate the station to KHCB.
HisAir is sorry to report the passing of longtime Gospel Radio host Sam Williams. Sam was hosted radio shows WDZZ/Flint among other stations, for more than 50 years and passed away on Monday November 18. He was 93.
