Lynda Stringer has returned to KVNE/Tyler and will host the 6-9pm shift. First she’ll be filling in for midday host Nikki Martinez during while she’s on maternity leave with her new baby girl born Sept. 11. Lynda worked for KVNE part-time and most recently was a staff writer at The Gazette newspaper.
KSBJ/Houston Director of Promotions Jordan Smith says she will be leaving the station. Jordan will be the new Marketing Manager for Compassion LIVE based in Nashville.
Consultant Chuck Finney has a new book releasing Nov 12th. The book titled “Wisdom for Effective Communication: Little Book of Big Ideas” can be pre-ordered at Amazon HERE.
KJNW/Kansas City (Life 88.5) celebrated their 6th birthday party with 2,500 people for a free concert with Jamie Kimmett, Dan Bremnes and Sidewalk Prophets. Life 88.5 listeners donated hundreds of pounds of school supplies that will provide over 1,000 students with the tools they need to tackle this school year. Volunteers helped stuff an additional 200 backpacks for elementary students. Attendees also donation enough food and hygiene items to assist 30 families have a well-balanced meal and personal care items for an entire month.
XHPOZ/Poza Rica, Mexico has gone on the air. The new Christian station known as La Estación (The Station), is the product of a group of concerned citizens who long dreamed of providing families and young people with music, uplifting programs and Bible teaching in a fun and wholesome environment. The group teamed up with Radio Encuentro Internacional Mexico, TWR’s newest national partner in Latin America.
