Each week, the head of Fellowship of Christian Athletes comes in and gives us a 2 minutes update on what God is doing in our local schools. We have a school prayer focus of the week, where we ask our listeners to pray for a specific school in one of the local counties. And we are preparing to start a Youth Group update after the first of the year, where teens come in and tell us on-air about their youth groups and invite teens to come.”

A church-run broadcast corporation in the Philippines, which has been operating radio stations for the past six decades, has been granted a government franchise to continue airing for another 25 years. The move has helped allay concerns that the government might use church broadcast franchise renewals as a tool to hit back at church criticism of President Rodrigo Duterte.  However, Duterte has signed a law granting the Notre Dame Broadcasting Corp. another 25 years to “construct, install, operate and maintain radio broadcasting stations” across the country. The law allows the Oblates of Mary Immaculate, which operates the broadcast company, to operate radio stations for “religious, educational and cultural as well as for commercial purposes.”The religious congregation has three FM and three AM stations across the central part of the southern Philippine region of Mindanao.
