Hull Joins Finney Media
Christian radio consultancy and research organization Finney Media has added KSBJ/Houston Vice President Emeritus Jon Hull to its team of consultants. The Christian radio veteran joins the group following 50 years in the Christian radio industry serving in various roles ranging from On-Air Host, Vice President of Programming, Station Manager to Radio Mentor.“Christian Radio listeners tell us they want Spiritual Encouragement,” said Chuck Finney, Finney Media president. “Our mission is to connect more hearts, more deeply to Christian radio stations and media for the encouragement that only God provides. Jon brings a wealth of knowledge to the team and will further help us in our work to assist stations and programs in their efforts to Grow Audience.”
Hull joins Finney Media as an Audience Growth Consultant. His experience in small to large and major markets and his work in network operations brings a broad view to help stations and programs further develop their programming, music libraries and personality for maximum audience reach.
Hull’s radio history started in 1974 as an intern on a show called “Come Together” on WTWB/Auburndale, FL. In 1976 while at Florida State University, he worked at WCVC/Tallahassee until graduation. Jon then worked for WCIE/Lakeland, starting out as evening host and eventually becoming station manager. In 1989, he went to work for K-LOVE in Santa Rosa, CA for three years till he left to join KBIQ/Colorado Springs, and The Word in Music Satellite Network. In 1996 Jon came to KSBJ. Over the past 29+ years Hull has held various positions at KSBJ including afternoon host, Program director, VP of Donor Acquisition, and in November 2024 received Hope Media Group’s Legacy Award in recognition of his extraordinary dedication.
Jon will remain with Hope Media Group through 12/31 this year.
