The Gospel Station Network Debuts In Apple CarPlay And Android Auto

11-30-16gospelThe Gospel Station Network, a Christian radio network with twenty radio stations and affiliates in Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Arkansas, Ohio, and Tennessee, has become the first network of its kind to appear in all cars that are equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.  These in-car systems allow a driver to pair their smartphone to the car dashboard so that all properly coded mobile apps appear on the touchscreen for easy access. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are now available in over 30 automobile brands and in over 200 models.

Rick Cody, Director Of Programming for The Gospel Station Network states, “I’m really excited about being in CarPlay and Android Auto. Our goal is to reach as many people as we can with the Gospel and using the new technology like these two platforms offer will do nothing but help us grow that reach. The potential expansion of our listening audience is just amazing to think about by being displayed in cars in this fashion.”

The Gospel Network mobile app has been downloaded 350,000 times and was developed by Michigan-based developer jacapps.  COO Bob Kernen observes, “Everyone in the radio business understands that the way that radio is accessed in the car is undergoing a massive change.  Launching The Gospel Station Network in the car goes a long way toward demonstrating radio’s interest in the car by bringing a 21st century experience to its listeners.”
