Doug Griffin Last Day On The Air

After more than 21 years on the air in Music City, longtime WFFH/Nashville (94 FM The Fish) personality Doug Griffin will do his last show on the station Tuesday April 30th.

Doug says, “I am so excited for the opportunity I’ve been given to say goodbye. So mark the last broadcast day on your calendar for 94 FM The Fish – Tuesday April 30 and make plans to join me at the radio station for an open house from 7 AM to 7 PM as I anchor a 12 hour on-air shift with the privilege to say goodbye and celebrate 21 1/2 years in Nashville on 94 FM The Fish!”

WFFH PD and afternoon co-host Jayme Summer will join Doug on the air for part of the goodbye show.

Doug adds, “We will all be there and give listeners an opportunity to perhaps say a few words, we’ll thank previous advertisers, and hear from the community. I am looking forward to a celebration and honoring and thanking God for all that he has done in the 21 1/2 years we have been on the air.”

As far as what’s next for Doug?

“Well, at the time, I was still employed by the national network that my company has and thought I may be able to continue a little while longer there, but apparently not. My last day with the network will be Friday, May 3.”

Last month Salem agreed to sell WFFH to EMF along with Nashville area stations WBOZ/Woodbury, TN (104.9) and WFFI/Kingston Springs, TN (93.7). On May 1 WFFH (94.1 & 93.7) will become Air1 & 104.9 will switch to K-LOVE.

The sale also incudes KAIM/Honolulu (95.5 The Fish).  The deal is expected to close by June this year.
