David Harms To Purchase Station
i58:10 Media President David Harms announced today he has purchased an FM station. H&H Broadcasting – a newly formed LLC with David & Barbara Harms as majority owners – agreed to terms to acquire KURT/Prineville, OR (93.7 FM) serving the Central Oregon cities of Bend, Redmond, Madras and Sisters. Upon completion of the sale, KURT-FM will be the flagship radio station for broadcasting “Worship 24/7.”
Since launching in late June as a streaming only station, Worship 24/7 has quickly established a loyal base audience and has been heard by over 14,000 people in 81 countries. After just three months of streaming, listener support is allowing Worship 24/7 to operate in the black.
“From the beginning Worship 24/7 was designed to serve a small but loyal niche. We don’t necessarily expect to be the most listened to Christian station in a market, but we do expect to facilitate incredible ministry for an audience that will financially support it. Our business model is sound and keeps overhead low. To operate in the black after only three months shows that our premise was correct,” says David Harms. “Hopefully this is the first of many stations, but we will build this network from the stream up rather than be a radio station that also streams,” added Harms.
Worship 24/7 network studios are located in Wilsonville, OR. The network features all worship music from artists like Hillsong, Elevation Worship, Bethel Music, Pat Barrett and Phil Wickham. Worship Hosts facilitate the listening experience and include radio veterans Lisa Williams, Christina James and Sam Kelly. Operations are handled by Scott Michaels. David Harms remains President of i58:10 Media, a fundraising company also headquartered in Wilsonville.
With a short term LMA in place, Worship 24/7 will begin broadcasting on 93.7 FM on November 1, 2019 or shortly thereafter.
