2023 CMB Award Winners

Momentum 2023 in Orlando ended Friday night with the CMB Awards being given out. Music was provided by Katy Nichole, Rend Collective, and Brandon Lake. Northwestern Media was a big winner grabbing 4 awards total including Small Market station of the year KNWS/Waterloo (Life 101.9). 

“Our team has worked hard this year to carry out our mission,” said Adam Hannan, Life 101.9 station manager. “It’s already been rewarding to connect with our listeners and point them to hope in Jesus, but getting this award from CMB is a high honor!” 

Medium Market station of the year went KLRC/Fayetteville.

Large Marker station of the year winner was Northwestern Media’s KGBI/Omaha (Life 100.7)

“The Life 100.7 team is overwhelmed and humbled to be awarded CMB Large Market Station of the Year!” said Life 100.7 station manager Suzanne Happs. “To share the stage with the other candidates is an honor. God has grown Life 100.7 in Omaha over the past few years, and we have watched Him move in more and more lives in our community. Thank you, Lord, for allowing us to be a part of the work You are doing. May we continue to serve You in everything we do.” 

Major Market station of the year is WCIE/Tampa (The JOY FM)

A new award in 2023 was the CMB University Station of the year going to WNZR/Mt Vernon, OH (The Lifeline 90.9)
Also new this year was the Radio Podcast award and that went to The Unfolding from WBGL/Champaign hosted by Meridith Foster.

“It is an incredible honor to receive this award,” said Meridith Foster, host of The Unfolding.  “The Unfolding wouldn’t be possible without the guests who’ve been willing to share their sacred stories of faith and our very kind God who is writing each of those stories. Thanks to Northwestern Media, including Jason Sharp and Jeff Scott, for supporting the idea of the podcast from the beginning and letting us run with it.  I will forever be grateful to Jason Rackow whose skills, creativity, and excellence helped launch the podcast, and make every episode better.” 
 
This years Industry Achievement Award for outstanding and long-term contributions to the growth of Christian music radio.
was given to Christian Radio vet Beth Bacall (WFSH/Atlanta).
 
Community Service Award for outstanding effort in community service in the past year KTIS/Minneapolis/St. Paul.

Serving the Twin Cities on air, online, and on the street every day requires servant hearts from every member of the 98.5 KTIS team, the faithful help of many volunteers, and the enthusiastic support of our community,” said KTIS station manager Dave St. John. “Thank you God for your blessing and kindness to the ministry of 98.5 KTIS!” 

And the Rich Mullins Artist Impact Award for their long-time contributions to the music and ministry of Christian music radio winner was CeCe Winans
