Industry News Bits Fri 8-13-21

All July Nielsen PPM numbers have been reported from subscribing station. This week was especially good for 2 stations.

WCIE/Tampa (The JOY FM) rose back to the top at #1 AQH P6+ with a 6.6 to tie mainstream AC WDUV. This is The JOY FM’s 3rd #1.

Also, The JOY FM scored #1 overall numbers in both morning (The Morning Cruise with Dave, Bill & Carmen) and the afternoon show hosted by Jayar Reeves.

For the first time Christian Radio is #1 in Las Vegas as KSOS/Las Vegas (SOS Radio) grabbed the top spot AQH P6+ at 7.1, a tie with mainstream KKLZ-FM.

HisAir reached out to SOS Radio GM Brad Staley for a comment who told HisAir, “In the challenging times we’re all going through, isn’t it just like God to bring together a great team at SOS Radio to share the truth of His love and grace – in Las Vegas! We’re grateful and thankful!!”

Plus, in St Louis KLJY (JOY FM) placed a solid #2 with a 7.7 AQH. And in Minneapolis KTIS also landed at #2 at 7.9 AQH in a tie with mainstream AC KSTP-FM.

At PLG  is now PLG Label Promotions and Brand Partnerships director Lindsay Crane announces she is leaving the label. She will be joining the marketing team at Awakening Events starting Monday 8/16. Lindsay joined PLG in March 2017, and was promoted to her current position in Oct 2019.

WFSH/Atlanta (104.7 The Fish) morning hosts Kevin & Taylor were featured on the Weather Channel this morning. The 2 talked about the Decatur BBQ Blues & Bluegrass festival.
