YNOP Launches Vie Nouvelle Afrique
Your Network of Praise radio group (YNOP) has announced the debut of a new Frenchlanguage satellite radio network, Vie Nouvelle Afrique, which will provide radio stations across Africa with quality Christian programming by direct broadcast satellite, 24/7.
The March 28th launch of Vie Nouvelle Afrique comes 11 months after YNOP debuted the New Life Africa Satellite Network, which provides Christian content in Swahili and English to approximately 60 stations in 15 countries throughout Africa.
YNOP President & General Manager, Roger Lonnquist, stated “We are thrilled to see this new direct broadcast satellite channel on the air, giving stations across Africa access to quality, Bible-based programming in French and Fulani.”
Joseph Kebbie, Africa Director for YNOP, added “Since the vision of blanketing the continent of Africa with the gospel of Christ was shown to me, I couldn’t be more joyful to see this vision come alive through New Life Africa Satellite Network and now Vie Nouvelle Afrique with coverage over Africa, Europe and parts of the Middle East. My prayer is that every man, woman and child in Africa will hear the gospel and come to the saving knowledge of Christ.”
Vie Nouvelle Afrique’s format of Christian teaching and music, hosted by presenters from west Africa, will include one hour per day in the Fulani language. YNOP provides satellite equipment to affiliates and offers the programming at no charge. YNOP is a non-profit ministry which operates 70 radio stations and translators in 6 states in the western United States. It also partners with local ministries to operate 2 FM radio stations in Tanzania and 1 in Liberia.
