WPOZ Easter Sunrise Service

WPOZ/Orlando (Z88.3) hosted a special Virtual Easter Sunrise Service Sunday morning on-air. This service was the second “Virtual” Easter Sunrise Service in 44 years, as the service has previously been at SeaWorld since 1977. With the current social distancing guidelines, this service was made available to give a safe alternative to the community.

Ellis and Tyler from Z88.3 Mornings hosted this event and were thrilled to be a part of this beautiful worship service! Listeners could gather safely with their loved ones, step outside and watch the sunrise together in worship and celebration with Z88.3!

Fair Trade artist Hope Darst and friends CeCe Winans and Phil Wickham did an incredible job leading worship, doing some favorite songs Promise Keeper, Battle BelongsBelieve for It, and Peace Be Still. Dr. David Uth, Senior Pastor of First Baptist Orlando, brought a powerful Easter message. Using 1 Corinthians 15, he spoke about The Resurrection of the Dead and how Paul reminds us in this passage of the importance of Easter.

What difference does Easter make? It makes all the difference! The Resurrection of Christ displays to us that “My faith is not useless and my failures are not final.” Dr. Uth spoke about the second chance and hope that we are not dead in our sins through Christ. The passage then goes on to teaches us how “My death is not the end, and I am not alone.” Easter reminds us that when we have Christ, death is not the end but our beginning to being in heaven with Jesus. Dr. Uth reflected upon many of the challenges this year and how Christ tells us, “Peace be with you” and that Jesus beat the greatest enemy of death, so we don’t have to worry because nothing you are facing is something that He cannot handle. Jesus has been with us every step-up the way. He comes to give us peace and remind us of the hope we have in eternal life through Him. Christ is here, He is alive, and He is our hope in this present world, and because He lives, I can face today, tomorrow, and eternity. Easter changes everything!
