WAFJ Has A New Midday Personality
Local country radio personality Jenny Bender has joined the team at WAFJ/Augusta. She will host middays from 12 to 3 PM and will also be heard on Sunday afternoons. Jenny was previously part of The Kicks Wake Up Krew for seven years on WKXC/Augusta (Kicks 99).
“The opportunity to join the radio ministry of 88.3 WAFJ is an honor and an answered prayer. I’ve enjoyed building relationships with the listeners of the CSRA for the past seven years, and I’m so excited to continue to build on those relationships while sharing Jesus’ message of hope & encouragement,” said Jenny Bender.
“We are thrilled to welcome Jenny to the 88.3 WAFJ team,” said John Bryant, General Manager of 88.3 WAFJ. “She will be a great friend and encourager to those who listen during the workday. Jenny’s heart fits perfectly with our mission to be the sound of hope in the Central Savannah River Area.”
Jenny is a native of Mooresville, North Carolina, and has spent the last decade working in radio in Charlotte, North Carolina; Brunswick, Georgia; and most recently, Augusta, Georgia.
Her first day on the air will be Wednesday, March 10th.
