The LifeFM Network Founder Bob McClure Has Passed
HisAir is deeply saddened to report the passing of The LifeFM Network founder Bob McClure yesterday. He was 95.
The LifeFM Network issued the statement: “He was so full of life and energy, even up to the last days. Please keep The McClure Family and LifeFM staff in your prayers. We are hurting but can’t help but to think of the family reunion going on today!”
Bob’s passing comes just one week after the death of his son and co-founder of the network Rob McClure.
Bob McClure founded the Dove Award-winning listener-supported radio ministry The LifeFM Network Foundation which includes 28 radio stations (and counting) from Illinois to Florida. McClure and his son, Rob, built and operated many Christian radio stations in more than ten states including two local stations, WHQA/Greenville, SC (103.1FM) and WHQB/Greenville (90.5FM).
Bob who was inducted into the South Carolina Gospel Music Association said, “All the honor goes to my Savior. His Music is about the Blood, the Book and the Blessed Hope.”
McClure is a WWII veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy. After his military service, he and his (late) wife, Fran, partnered in many church ministry and business ventures, which included Missionary Broadcasters, Inc., Tracts Inc., and Tower Power Inc.
