The Bridge Names Director of Donor Development

WKNZ/Harrington (The Bridge) serving Delaware, Maryland, the Eastern Shore of Virginia, and South Jersey, has announced the hiring of Alison Kristunas as its new Development Director.

Kristunas is a native of Wilmington, DE and was most recently with Delmarva Christian Schools. She is a graduate of Wilmington University with a Master’s degree in Management and Organizational Leadership and Bachelors in Psychology.

In her new role, Kristunas will work with donors to match resources with ministry opportunities through The Bridge broadcast and community outreach initiatives. In addition to broadcasts and podcasts, The Bridge also serves Delmarva, South Jersey and beyond with a variety of projects. Most recently the stations listeners helped provide clean water and meals to over 1,300 children in Uganda, Zambia and Malawi. The Bridge has also adopted a village in the Domincan Republic known as La Union Abajo, and regularly provides funding to help residents, including building a bakery and sewing center to provide a skill and income to young women.

Locally The Bridge coordinates Hands & Feet, a day of service to other non-profit organizations with several hundred volunteers, and The Bridge helps connect and strengthen the community through special events such as concerts, seminars, food distributions, the Drive Thru Connection, online Prayer Works, and much more.

Kristunas succeeds Kristin Boyce, the former Development Director who recently accepted a teaching position at Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. Alison and her husband live in Sussex County and have two sons.

The Bridge is a non-profit ministry (501c3) operated by The Bridge of Hope, Inc. and consists of WKNZ, 88.7 FM, Harrington, DE, WNKZ, 92.5 FM, Pocomoke City, MD, WNJH, 105.5, Cape May Courthouse, NJ, and W232DJ, Ocean City, MD.
