MCBI Names New GM

Minnesota Christian Broadcasters, Inc. (MCBI) is announcing that veteran broadcaster Paulette Kutzler will assume the role of General Manager for its group of stations on July 5.  Listener-supported MCBI produces two formats out of its flagship studios, airing contemporary Christian music branded ‘The Pulse’ on WZFJ-FM (Pequot Lakes/Brainerd) and a mix of adult contemporary and talk branded ‘The Word’ on KTIG-FM (Pequot Lakes/Brainerd)  and KCFB-FM (Saint Cloud).

Paulette Kutzler’s voice is familiar to many Minnesota listeners.  She has worked for both Northwestern Media’s talk format (Faith Radio Network) and music format locally in Minneapolis/Saint Paul on KTIS-FM.  As well, she has served in management roles, including Refuge Radio and Praise FM.

According to Board Chairman Greg Medvec:  “We, the Board at MCBI are very excited for what the Lord has in store for this ministry.  We definitely saw the hand of God in bringing Paulette Kutzler on board as General Manager.  Paulette will be a wonderful addition as she shares the vision and excitement for what the Lord has laid out for our ministry at MCBI.”

After 40 years of broadcasting Ric McClary is stepping down from the GM role for MCBI, but remains open to other ministry possibilities.
