KSGN Provides Beds For Children
KSGN/Riverside partnered with Ashley HomeStore, this holiday season, to give children in need a bed to call their own and enjoy a goodnight’s sleep. “When we hear many stories of kids sleeping on the floor or in uncomfortable places, we knew we wanted to do something to make living arrangements a little better for these families for the holidays,” says Bryan O’Neal, KSGN PD. A nomination form was created. Family members, friends churches, case workers and etc., were encouraged to submit a story of their nominated child in hopes they’ll receive a brand new twin bed mattress, bed frame, and bedding for Christmas. Representatives from Ashley HomeStore reviewed all submissions, verified information, determined the need, and selected the bed recipients through the Hope to Dream program. Over 100 beds were delivered to selected children and their families this holiday season. Selected recipients also had the chance to have their name announced and story shared through various promos and on-air announcements. To see the kids faces after they receive their beds…PRICELESS!” expresses O’Neal.
