KNWS Provides For The Homeless

KNWS/Waterloo (Life 101.9) encouraged listeners to provide for people who are homeless in Eastern Iowa during their “Share The Love” campaign. A gift of $15 given to one of 13 homeless shelters in the area provided a hot meal, a warm bed and other necessities to help the homeless through the winter months, which can be especially challenging. Life 101.9 listeners showed up in a big way, with total donations of over $16,000, providing over 1,100 nights in shelters for those who need it the most.

Autumn Craft, Chief Development & Marketing Officer of Waypoint Services said “We are grateful that Life 101.9 includes Waypoint in the Share the Love campaign. This campaign not only provides awareness about homeless services in Eastern Iowa, but also encourages the community to donate to programs that give hope to individuals experiencing a housing crisis.”
